AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is an attacking player. She is also the captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division for women's professional soccer. From 2018 to 2020, she was a co-captain of the American women's national soccer team alongside Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her debut in professional football and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan was 22 years old at the time, and was the youngest player on the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. This made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. The following year, she was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year , and was a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan helped the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was selected to the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
